Real rolls out on Sun Direct from 1 April

MUMBAI: Real, the Turner International Hindi entertainment channel with joint venture partner Alva Brothers Entertainment, is ready to roll out on DTH platform Sun Direct from 1 April onwards.

Real will be available on channel no 303 and can be downlinked from IntelSat-10.

The digitally encrypted pay channel, meanwhile, is already available on other DTH platforms - Dish TV and Tata Sky and several cable networks.

Commenting on the tie-up, Real Global Broadcasting director Sunil Lulla said, "The discerning digital viewer appreciates the candidness of truth, conviction and confidence, which is visible in every character and persona on Real. Targeted towards the Neo Indian, Real is available on both analogue cable systems and digital platforms."

Sun Direct, with approximately 200 television channels, has a strong presence in South India and operates its DTH operations on a pan-India basis.

Sun Direct COO Tony D'Silva said, "We are delighted to add Real to our platform. This will further enhance our strong bouquet for our rapidly growing subscriber base across the country."

Baby TV added

Sun Direct has added added a new channel "Baby TV" on channel no.525 & removed "Nepal One" channel.

Total TV & Azad News added

Sun Direct added two new channels.

1. Total TV on channel no.587
2. Azad News on channel no.590

Real TV, WB Movies, FX & Fox Crime Added

Sun Direct has added four new channel.

1. Real TV on channel no.330
2. WB Movies on channel no.414
3. FX on channel no.457
4. Fox Crime on channel no.459

Good news is that, this four channels (Real TV, WB Movies, FX & Fox Crime) will be avialable free for all Basic Package users till March 31st, 2010.

Two channels removed.

1. TV5 Telugu
2. NE TV

DD Direct Plus channels in Sun Direct

Watch other DD Direct Plus channels in Sun Direct by adding them manually. This will work only in Homecast STB.

Steps:

First goto Menu -> then Manual Scan -> enter password as four zero's (0000) -> then goto Frequency & select the frequencies as given below -> press OK -> goto PID search & enter the PID's as given below -> press OK to search the channel -> again press OK to save the channel.

Like the above steps do for all the channels. The channels will be saved from channel no.1280 & so on.

Note: To view this channels first goto any DD channel & then go this channels. Otherwise you will not be able to view this channels.

Sun Direct launches easy recharge plan

MUMBAI: Direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Sun Direct has made it easier to watch uninterrupted entertainment with their easy recharge options for all subscribers.

Currently this service will be applicable to all its existing and new subscribers in South India covering Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka.

The new recharge options are through phone, SMS and online. Subscribers will have the freedom of making the payments from anywhere/ anytime in the country at their own convenience.

Recharge through Phone: Subscribers can now recharge through phone by purchasing a recharge voucher of the desired denomination from a Sun Direct Dealer.

Recharge through Online: Sun direct offers the facility of online recharge, the subscriber has to log on to the sun direct website (www.sundirect.in) and click on Recharge through Online.

Recharge through SMS: Here a subscriber can avail the services by just sending an SMS
